Concerta and Ritalin are the same drug (methelophendate, or whatever), but with a different trade name.

You are right. Aspartame is just about one of the worst things you could put in your body. It causes brain tumors, kidney cancer, neurological disorders and all sorts of other ailments as well.

It's been a long time since I read this thread & I really missed a lot of posts.
Grapes aren't citrus fruit.
We don't buy much pop at home & we never have cola. My 'rents want me to drink healthy stuff & they think cola is the worst pop of all.
You can drink herbal teas that don't have any caffeine. One of my faves is peppermint & ginger is good too.
I like coffee. We don't drink it much but I always used to bug my 'rents to let me share it with them & I like to get a Latte at the mall so my father but some decaf for me.

With the weather getting colder, I started to drink some coffee. It smells so good in the morning. Not good to this problem; it only gets worse. I should read my own posts.

It's so tempting to drink diet Cherry Coke when that's what my sister drinks, and that's the only thing in the fridge. With the head of summer amost here, there ae so many tempting drinks that contain stuff that we shouldn't drink. We've already had 3 days in the 90's, then it dropped to 45º.

Spices: Spicy foods increase the speed of the removal process inside the body. If your child insists on spicy foods, you have to avoid your child consuming spicy foods as it contributes to bed wetting.

Caffeine in chocolate: Excessive urination can be caused with high caffeine foods that are mostly found in chocolates. The caffeine found in chocolate stimulates your child’s body, especially if your child suffers already from sensitive bladder.

Citrus fruits: The water content in citrus fruits such as grapes and oranges is high. The acid levels in citrus fruits disrupt sensitive bladder and cause the need to urinate in the middle of the night. When the child is not trained to control the bladder, bed wetting occurs.

Colas and other drinks: Colas, tea, and coffee all contain caffeine that irritates the bladder and increase the urgency to urinate more frequently.

Food allergens: There are common food items that create spasms within the bladder and leads to bedwetting. Your child can have allergic reactions to some foods when a bedwetting like this occurs.

When allergies are present, your child’s bladder can shrink causing incontinence. Foods that trigger bedwetting include peanuts, wheat, corn, dairy, soy and eggs. You should avoid foods with high doses of artificial colors, sweeteners and preservatives just before bedtime.

Keep your child hydrated. Drinking enough water helps the body to function properly and keeps the kidneys healthy. Water should be given in the earlier part of the day and less water to be given one or two hours before bedtime.

Apple juice causes increased urine in some due to the presence of patulin and gallic acid. Encourage your child to eat apples during daytime, but do not serve in the evenings or before bedtime.

Milk alergy was new to me, so I tried to find out some more information, because I drink a lot of miilk. Here is one quote that I found:
"Bed-wetting is often caused by food allergies. Omit cow's milk, which is highly allergenic, from your diet. Also eliminate from the diet carbonated beverages, chocolate, refined carbohydrates (including junk food), and products containing food coloring."
Check it out for yourself. Type the words
"miilk protein and bedwetting" in the search box on your browser.
